Retreat Agreement

1. Terms & Conditions

​

Booking & Payments

  • A non-refundable deposit of AUD $500 is required to confirm your booking.

  • Full payment for the Pay in Full Early Bird price is due by December 21st, 2025.

  • Bookings made within 30 days of the retreat require full payment at the time of booking.

Travel Documents & Insurance

  • You are responsible for holding a valid passport (minimum 6 months beyond retreat end) and any required visas, permits, or certificates.

  • Temple of the Living Waters accepts no liability if you are denied entry due to incorrect documentation.

  • Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended, covering cancellation, medical expenses, evacuation, and property loss.

Health & Conduct

  • By booking, you confirm you are fit and able to participate in retreat activities.

  • All health conditions, allergies, or mobility concerns must be disclosed before travel.

  • Participants are expected to act with respect toward staff, other guests, and the local community. The Organiser reserves the right to remove any participant without refund for offensive, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

  • Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

  • Temple of the Living Waters is not responsible for:

    • injury, illness, death, or property loss

    • travel delays, cancellations, or missed connections

    • acts of God, pandemics, natural disasters, political unrest, or other events beyond our control

  • By booking, you agree to release and hold harmless Temple of the Living Waters, its staff, and affiliates from any liability connected to your participation.

Intellectual Property & Media

  • Retreat content, resources, and materials remain the property of Temple of the Living Waters.

  • By attending, you consent to photography and video for promotional purposes unless you notify us in writing before the retreat.

     

2. Refund Policy Deposit

  • The AUD $500 deposit is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another participant, retreat, or future date.

Balance Payments

  • 50% of the total retreat fee is due 90 days before the retreat start date.

  • The remaining 50% is due 30 days before the retreat start date.

  • Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation of your booking without refund.

Participant Cancellations

  • More than 90 days before retreat start → refund of payments made, less deposit.

  • 70–89 days before retreat start → 50% refund, less deposit.

  • Within 42 days of retreat start → no refund.

  • No refunds for late arrival, early departure, or unused portions of the retreat.

Organiser Cancellations

  • If Temple of the Living Waters cancels due to low enrolment or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund of payments made.

  • We are not responsible for additional expenses such as flights, visas, or travel insurance which is strongly recommended.

Force Majeure

  • No refunds will be given for cancellations caused by events outside our control (e.g. natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, strikes).
     

3. Privacy Policy

  • Contact details (name, email, phone, address)

  • Travel details (passport, visas where required)

  • Health and dietary information

  • Emergency contacts

  • Payment details (processed securely via third-party providers)

How We Use Your Information

  • To process bookings and payments

  • To communicate with you about your retreat

  • To manage health, safety, and dietary needs

  • To comply with legal obligations

Sharing of Information

  • Shared only with providers directly involved in your retreat (e.g. accommodation, facilitators).

  • We do not sell or trade your information.

  • Payment data is processed securely via third-party payment gateways.

Media & Photography

  • Retreats may be photographed or filmed. By attending, you consent to images being used for promotional purposes unless you notify us in writing prior to the retreat.

Your Rights

4. Governing Law​

​

  • This Retreat Agreement is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved through good faith negotiation, and if necessary, mediation under Australian law.

Temple of the Living Waters acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters of Australia, paying deep respect to Elders past and present. We honour their enduring connection to Country, waters, songlines, and stories.

We also give thanks to the Balinese people, whose living traditions honour the rivers, springs, mountains, and oceans as sacred. We recognise their role as custodians of this land and water, and approach our retreats here with reverence, respect, and gratitude.
